How to set day/night wallpapers?

You want to have on your desktop different wallpaper depending on the time of the day? You think this is not possible without human intervention to manually set the wallpaper ok desktop?

Well, BioniX Wallpaper Changer comes in help with few solution to automatically set new wallpaper depending on the time of the day you specify.

Solution 1 - Use 'Day/night wallpaper' feature

BioniX Wallpaper Changer detects nighttime wallpapers by looking for the word 'night' in the wallpaper file name. Any file that doesn't include 'night' in its name is considered 'light' and is set on day-time. You just need to rename your wallpapers to contain the 'night' word in their names if they don't already.

This new BioniX Wallpaper Changer feature allows you to set the time interval for day and night.

More information about this 'Day/night wallpaper' feature here.

Solution 2 - Use 'Timed wallpaper' feature

If you have 24 wallpapers you can rename each one of them to have one wallpaper per hour, like this:

xyz 12-00.jpg

xyz 13-00.jpg

xyz 14-00.jpg

xyz 15-00.jpg

etc

When BioniX Wallpaper Changer is running it will apply the correct wallpaper in maximum one hour.

If you have 24*60 wallpapers (one per minute) the program will apply the right wallpaper in one minute.

You can use a program like Total Commander to batch rename your wallpapers.

Solution 3 - Two different playlists

You can create two playlists (or more). One you will use for daylight and one for night.

Save them to desktop OR put a link to them on desktop. When you start your computer double click the correct playlist.

Solution 4 - Create a script

Create your own script that detects if it is day or night. Start BioniX Wallpaper Changer and pass to it 'via command line' the appropriate playlist.

Details about the command line here.
